The Paper Palace - Miranda Cowley Heller

Tonight, we launched! Our first club night, our first meeting in the cabin, our first book! 

This evening’s mission was to gather together, uniting old friends and new, to share the love of stories. We spoke of our passions, our favourite authors, the magic of getting lost in worlds not our own. We laughed and drank coffee (and just a little wine), debated the merits of beloved characters and found that, when merged with the experience of others, a much-read story can reveal depths we had yet to discover.

So to our first book - The Paper Palace by Miranda Cowley Heller.

Tonight we discovered that reading affords each of us an escape from the chaos of reality, but we also discovered that in this book club, we can escape together!
